9:1 reduction, 210 N.m continuous — what the ratings deliver
The 9:1 reduction ratio drops input speed by a factor of nine while multiplying torque. Continuous output torque is 210 N.m at 100 rpm and 30 °C — this is the sustained load the gearbox can carry without exceeding its 30,000-hour service life. Maximum output torque hits 336 N.m at the same speed and temperature, covering short-duration peak loads. Efficiency is listed at 94 % — about 6 % of input power is lost as heat inside the housing. For a motor driving this gearbox at full rated torque, that heat stays within the black anodized aluminium housing without external cooling, as long as ambient stays between -25 and 90 °C. Maximum torsional backlash is 12 arc.min — the angular play between input and output when reversing direction. This is a standard-precision planetary; for indexing or positioning applications that need tighter repeatability, a lower-backlash series would be needed.
Mounting and mechanical limits
The gearbox has a 120 mm external diameter and a straight-tooth planetary design. Shaft output carries an IP54 rating — protected against dust ingress and splashing water, but not submersion or high-pressure washdown. The shaft is C45 steel; the housing is black anodized aluminium. Maximum radial force Fr is 1500 N at 100 rpm for the 30,000-hour life target, applied at mid-distance from the output shaft. Maximum axial force Fa is 2100 N under the same conditions. Exceeding these loads shortens bearing life below the rated 30,000 hours. The gearbox ships lubricated for life — no oil changes or regreasing intervals. Noise level is 65 dB at 1 m under no-load conditions, which is quiet enough for most production-floor environments without an enclosure.
