The AC-7A rating (per IEC 61095 and IEC 60947-5) covers resistive and mixed loads including motor starting with moderate inrush — a common spec for contactors in HVAC, lighting control, and small pump or fan circuits. The 4 NO power pole configuration gives you four normally-open contacts, all rated at the full 100 A, so it handles single-phase or three-phase switching with one spare pole for auxiliary or neutral switching.
Control circuit and coil
The coil is wound for 220...240 V AC at 60 Hz, with a control circuit voltage limits of 0.85...1.1 Uc for operation and 0.2...0.75 Uc for drop-out at 50 Hz. Inrush power is 106 VA at 50 Hz (20 °C), and steady-state heat dissipation is 4.2 W at 50/60 Hz. Operating time is 10...25 ms opening and 10...30 ms closing — fast enough for most switching applications but not for high-speed synchronous transfer.
The contactor occupies 6 modules of 18 mm width (108 mm total), with a depth of 62.5 mm and height of 85 mm. The associated fuse rating is 100 A gL at ≤ 440 V for the power circuit. IP20 finger-safe protection per VDE 0106 when mounted in an enclosure; IP40 with the enclosure door closed.
Durability and environmental ratings
Electrical durability is 30,000 cycles under AC-7A load; mechanical durability is 1,000,000 cycles. Maximum operating rate is 300 cycles per hour at 50 °C. The contactor withstands shocks of 10 Gn (open) and 15 Gn (closed) for 11 ms, and vibrations of 2 Gn (open) and 3 Gn (closed) from 5 to 300 Hz. Operating altitude is up to 3000 m. The protective treatment is TC (tropicalised coating) for moderate humidity environments.
