The Telemecanique GV3-M40 is a motor circuit breaker rated for 25 to 40 A continuous current, covering three-phase motor loads from 5 HP at 115 V up to 30 HP at 575 V. It operates on 50 or 60 Hz supply and is built for panel-mount integration with IP20 finger-safe protection — meaning it's meant for inside an enclosure, not out in the weather. The adjustable thermal-magnetic trip lets you dial in the overload protection to match the motor nameplate, which is the kind of flexibility a field tech appreciates when the motor plate doesn't match the panel drawing.
IP20 rated, so it's designed for enclosure mounting — no washdown rating, no outdoor duty. The DIN-rail footprint clips onto standard 35 mm rail; wire termination needs the listed torque. If you're swapping a failed unit, check the existing DIN-rail space: the GV3 frame is wider than the compact GV2 series, so measure before you pull the old one.
