Active production, 115 A motor circuit breaker for 37–110 kW range
The GV4PEM115N: The electronic thermal-magnetic trip unit combines adjustable overload protection with a fixed magnetic trip set at 1955 A — 17× In — so it clears short-circuits fast without nuisance tripping on motor inrush. Phase-failure sensitivity per IEC 60947-4-1 means it drops the load when one phase opens, preventing single-phasing damage.
Under UL 60947 it delivers 65 kA at 240 V and 35 kA at 480Y/277 V.
DIN-rail footprint and EverLink terminals — panel build notes
The GV4PEM115N measures 155 mm high × 81 mm wide × 116 mm deep — a compact 3-pole footprint that clips onto standard DIN rail. The EverLink BTR screw terminals accept solid copper up to 95 mm² on the load side and 70 mm² on the line side, with a tightening torque of 9 N·m for the main power connections. That's enough cross-section for the 115 A feed without parallel conductors. IP40 enclosure with IK07 impact resistance handles normal panel environments; the gray RAL 7016 housing is the standard industrial finish. Power dissipation is 4.6 W per pole at rated current — about 14 W total for the three poles — so thermal rise inside a sealed enclosure stays manageable without forced ventilation.
Electrical and mechanical endurance — cycle life for frequent starting
For a motor starter seeing frequent starts — conveyors, pumps, compressors — that translates to years of service before contact maintenance is needed. Shock rating is 15 gn for 11 ms. The breaker holds calibration and trip accuracy under these conditions, which matters for mobile equipment or machinery mounted near rotating unbalance.
