The GVAE1TQ is a front-mount auxiliary contact block from the TeSys Deca range, designed to snap onto the side of a GV2 manual starter or motor-protective circuit breaker. It adds one NO and one NC set of contacts, giving you a feedback signal or control interlock without wiring a separate relay. The 29 mm depth keeps the assembly compact on the DIN rail — no extra panel space needed beyond the starter itself. Rated for 2.5 A conventional free-air thermal current and a minimum switching capability of 5 mA at 17 V, so it handles both the PLC input and the small-signal pilot duty without contact wetting issues. Mechanical durability is rated at 100,000 cycles — that's the life of the block itself, not the motor starter it rides on.
The AC-15 and DC-13 ratings tell you the block is tested for switching electromagnetic loads — contactors, relays, solenoid valves — not just resistive heaters. At 230 V AC it's rated for 120 VA, which covers most small contactor coils. On the DC side, you get 24 W at 24 V DC-13, enough for a PLC output driving a holding coil or a brake solenoid. The 48 V DC-13 rating drops to 15 W, so watch your voltage drop on longer cable runs. Insulation coordination is rated 300 V per UL 508 and CSA C22.2 No 14, with a 250 V rating under IEC 60947-1. That's fine for 240 V line-to-line control circuits in North America and 230/400 V systems globally, as long as the phase-to-ground voltage stays within limits. The standards list includes EN/IEC 60947-5-1 (control circuit devices), UL 60947-4-1 and CSA C22.2 No 60947-4-1 (contactors and starters), plus IEC/EN 60335-1 and -2-40 for appliance and heat-pump applications — so it's certified for both industrial panels and HVAC equipment.
Compliance documentation is covered by the UL, CSA, and IEC standards listed on the product label. RoHS and REACH declarations are standard for Schneider's current TeSys portfolio — the part carries the CE mark by virtue of the IEC standards. No separate documentation request should be needed for a standard industrial panel build.
