The Schneider Electric GVAED0113 is a front-mounted auxiliary contact block for the TeSys Deca Frame 2/3 range, used to add a fault-signal contact to GV2 and GV3 manual motor starters (excluding GV3ME). The block provides one normally-open and one normally-closed contact, with the NC contact dedicated as the fault-signal output. Rated conventional free-air thermal current (Ith) is 2.5 A, and the block carries full IEC/UL/CSA certifications for use in control circuits.
Switching capacity and duty ratings
In AC-15 duty (solenoid/contactor control), the block switches up to 720 VA at 230-240 V and 850 VA at 380-415 V, both with 100,000 electrical cycles. In DC-13 duty (solenoid/relay control with parallel diodes), it handles 140 W at 24 V and 120 W at 240 V, also at 100,000 cycles. Minimum switching capability is 5 mA at 17 V — important for low-signal PLC inputs or electronic load interface where dry-contact reliability matters. Mechanical durability is rated at 100,000 cycles, matching the electrical endurance at full load.
The block is certified to EN/IEC 60947-5-1 (control circuit devices), UL 60947-4-1 and CSA C22.2 No 60947-4-1 (motor controllers), plus IEC/EN 60335-1 Clause 30.2 and IEC/EN 60335-2-40 Annex JJ for glow-wire and heat-resistance in appliance applications. Insulation voltage (Ui) is rated 690 V per IEC 60947-1, 600 V per UL 508 and CSA C22.2 No 14.
Dimensions are 44.5 mm wide, 31.5 mm deep, and 13 mm high — designed to snap onto the front face of TeSys Deca Frame 2/3 motor starters without increasing panel depth significantly. Mounting location is the front side of the starter; the dark-grey housing matches the standard TeSys Deca aesthetic. External protection is required: the evidence specifies a GB2CB circuit breaker or 10 A GG fuse upstream.
