The GVAN11TQ is an add-on auxiliary contact block from the TeSys Deca range, designed for left-side mounting on GV2 and GV3 manual motor starters (excluding GV3ME). It provides one normally open and one normally closed contact — 1 NO + 1 NC — in a 9.3 mm wide package that snaps onto the left side of the breaker, adding status feedback or control logic without extra panel space. Rated conventional free-air thermal current (Ith) is 6 A, with an insulation voltage (Ui) of 600 V per UL 508 and 690 V per IEC 60947-1. The operational voltage range covers 48...690 V AC and 24...240 V DC, making it suitable for both control and signal circuits in motor starter assemblies.
The AC-15 and DC-13 ratings tell you what inductive loads this block can switch reliably over 100,000 electrical cycles. At 230...240 V AC-15 it handles 720 VA; at 24 V DC-13 it handles 140 W. These are the numbers that govern contact life on solenoid valves, contactor coils, and small relay loads — not the 6 A thermal current, which only applies to resistive loads. Minimum switching capability is 5 mA at 17 V, so it can also handle low-energy PLC input signals or dry-contact feedback without needing a separate interface relay.
Lifecycle reality — this part is obsolete
The part ships in a set of 24, which matches the original packaging for panel-builder volume. For a single replacement on a down line, expect to buy the full set or find a broker willing to split.
Certified to EN/IEC 60947-5-1 (control circuit devices), UL 60947-4-1, and CSA C22.2 No 60947-4-1. Also carries IEC/EN 60335-1 Clause 30.2 and IEC/EN 60335-2-40 Annex JJ for glow-wire and heat resistance in household appliance applications — relevant if this block ends up in a packaged HVAC or refrigeration control panel.
