The GVAPB54S is a TeSys Deca-GV3-U rotary handle — a control accessory that gives you a manual on-off-trip interface for a TeSys GV3 motor circuit breaker or similar Deca-series disconnect. It's the part you grab to kill power at the panel door, with a direct-mounting style that bolts straight onto the breaker's front, no linkage kit needed. The black handle and grey front plate are standard; the trip-position indicator lets you see at a glance whether the breaker has opened on a fault.
IP54 — what it means on a rotary handle
IP54 means the handle assembly is dust-protected and splash-proof — fine for most industrial panel doors in dry indoor environments, but not rated for hose-down washdown areas or outdoor exposure. If your panel lives in a food-processing zone or a wet-floor plant, you'd need an IP65 or IP67 rated handle instead. The seal here is adequate for general machine-tool enclosures and light industrial atmospheres.
The handle body measures 60 mm wide by 60 mm deep by 43 mm tall — a compact footprint that fits the standard cutout for TeSys Deca handles. The 60 mm depth is the projection from the panel face, not the breaker depth; make sure your enclosure door has clearance for that plus the swing arc of the black handle. Direct mounting means no extra hardware between the handle and the breaker shaft, so the install is a straight mechanical swap on the existing GV3 breaker.
Lockout and trip indication
The handle accepts 1 to 3 padlocks in both the ON and OFF positions, which covers the lockout/tagout requirement for a single energy source. The trip-position indicator is a mechanical flag that shows when the breaker has tripped — useful for troubleshooting a line-down situation without opening the panel door. Black handle, grey front plate, no special tools needed for installation.
