Panel fit and display specs
The Schneider Electric HMIET6500 is a 10-inch colour TFT LCD touch panel from the Easy Harmony ET6 range, built around an ARM Cortex-A8 processor. The 1024 x 600 pixel WSVGA display supports 16 million colours with 16 brightness levels, and the single-touch analogue resistive touch panel is rated IP65 on the front panel — suitable for washdown or dusty environments on the operator side. The rear enclosure is IP20, typical for panel-mount HMIs. Mounting requires a 255 x 185 mm panel cut-out, secured by 4 screws through a panel thickness of 1.6 to 5 mm. Overall dimensions: width 10.7 in (271 mm), height 7.9 in (201 mm), depth 1.9 in (47 mm). The front bezel is plastic (PC), and the enclosure material is PC.
Power and connectivity
Powered by an external 24 V DC supply (+/- 20%), consuming 11 W typical. Inrush current is 30 A — ensure the supply can handle the peak at power-on. The unit includes a 10/100BASE Ethernet port and supports downloadable protocols including Modbus, Uni-TE, and third-party protocols, making it flexible for connecting to PLCs and drives on the plant floor. A built-in real-time clock is standard, backed by 128 kB backup memory. Total device memory is 256 MB with another 256 MB for user data. The HMI supports up to 200 application pages.
The HMIET6500 carries IEC 61131-2, UL 61010-2-201, and CSA C22.2 No 61010-1-201 certifications, along with EMC directives 2014/30/EU and low-voltage directive 2014/35/EU. It is rated for operation at 0 to 50 °C ambient, 10 to 90% non-condensing humidity, and up to 2000 m altitude. Vibration resistance: 9.8 m/s² at 9 to 150 Hz; shock resistance: 147 m/s² for 11 ms in all three axes. Microbreak immunity is 5 ms.
