The Schneider Electric HMIET6700 is a 15-inch colour TFT LCD touch panel from the Easy Harmony ET6 range, built for panel-mount machine-level HMI applications that need a clear, readable operator interface on a production line or standalone machine. It runs on an ARM Cortex-A8 processor with 256 MB device memory and 256 MB user data memory, plus a 128 kB backup memory, and is programmed using Vijeo Designer Basic software.
Display and touch interface
The 15-inch TFT display delivers 1366 x 768 pixels (FWXGA) in 16 million colours with 16 levels of adjustable brightness, driven by a single-touch analogue resistive touch panel — a mature, glove-friendly technology that works reliably in industrial environments where capacitive screens can false-trigger from debris or moisture.
Panel-mount installation uses four screws through a panel 1.6 to 5 mm thick; the required cut-out is 394 x 250 mm. Overall dimensions are 412 mm wide, 268 mm high, and 50 mm deep. The front panel carries an IP65 rating per IEC 61131-2 and NEMA 4 for indoor use — meaning it withstands hose-directed water and dust ingress in washdown areas. The rear panel is IP20, so keep the back of the enclosure protected from dripping water or conductive debris.
The HMIET6700 carries IEC 61000-6-4 (emission) and IEC 61000-6-2 (immunity) for industrial EMC, plus IEC 61131-2 for PLC hardware, UL 61010-2-201, and CSA C22.2 No 61010-1-201 for North American safety listing. It also meets the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU and EMC Directive 2014/30/EU. Operating temperature range is supported by a built-in real-time clock rated 0 to 50 °C at 10 to 90 % RH non-condensing, with vibration resistance of ±3.5 mm at 5–9 Hz and 9.8 m/s² at 9–150 Hz, and shock resistance of 147 m/s² for 11 ms in all three axes. Maximum operating altitude is 2000 m. The unit tolerates microbreaks in supply up to 5 ms without dropping out — useful on lines with contactor or motor-start transients.
Connectivity and protocols
One 10/100BASE Ethernet port supports Modbus, Uni-TE, and third-party protocols via downloadable drivers. The HMIET6700 draws 18.5 W from an external 24 VDC supply, with a 30 A inrush at power-up — size your panel supply to handle that peak.
