Panel fit and environmental sealing
The HMIFP6500WCD is a 10.1-inch multi-touch projected capacitive (PCT) touch panel from the Schneider Electric Harmony FP6 series, delivering WXGA 1280x800 resolution in a 16:9 aspect ratio with 16 million colours. It mounts directly into a panel cut-out of 255 (+1/-0) x 185 (+1/-0) mm, or via VESA brackets. The IP66f and IP67f ratings mean the front face withstands high-pressure washdown and temporary immersion — suited for food, beverage, and pharmaceutical lines where sanitation cycles are routine.
Supply and power budget
Runs on a single 24 V DC supply with a typical draw of 12.4 W. Inrush current peaks at 30 A, so size the panel-side power supply with enough capacitance to hold the rail during startup — a standard SELV Class 2 source works, but check the inrush against your breaker coordination. Operating range is 0 to 55 °C ambient; convection-cooled, no fan to fail or collect particulates.
Lifecycle and compliance posture
Schneider Electric lists the HMIFP6500WCD as an active, current-production part. Approvals include CE, FCC Part 15, UL 61010-2-201, and CSA C22.2 No 61010-2-201 — covering North American and European regulatory jurisdictions. For validation-bound installs, the active status means firmware revisions remain under change control and documentation packages are current.
Connectivity and environmental tolerance
Integrated connections include a DVI-D video port, USB Type B, and USB 2.0 — enough for a local programming link and external storage or peripherals. Electromagnetic compatibility is verified to IEC 61000-4-2 level 3 for ESD (6 kV contact / 8 kV air) and IEC 61000-4-4 for fast transients (2 kV on power ports, 1 kV on signal ports). Vibration resistance is 1 gn across 5–150 Hz per IEC 61131-2; shock resistance is 147 m/s².
