The Schneider Electric HMIGTO2300FCW is a 5.7-inch advanced touchscreen panel from the Harmony GTO range, built for machine-level operator interface in industrial automation. It runs on Vijeo Designer configuration software v6.1 or later, so the software stack is a known quantity if you're already in that ecosystem — no surprises on migration. Display is a backlit colour TFT LCD at QVGA resolution (320 x 240 pixels) with 65536 colours. The resistive film touch panel is rated for 1,000,000 actuations — that's a solid mechanical life for a gloved-hand environment on a packaging or material-handling line. Front panel carries IP65 and NEMA 4X (indoor use) protection, so it handles washdown splashes and dust ingress on the cabinet face. Rear panel is IP20 — standard for inside the enclosure.
Communications and protocol support
This HMI speaks a wide range of industrial protocols natively: Schneider Electric Modicon Modbus, Modbus Plus, Uni-TE, and FIPWAY, plus third-party protocols for Mitsubishi Melsec, Omron Sysmac, Rockwell Automation Allen-Bradley, and Siemens Simatic. That covers the bulk of the PLC landscape you'll find on a retrofit or multi-vendor line.
Flush-mount design, secured by four screw clamps. Cut-out dimensions follow the 5.7-inch form factor — verify your panel opening against the 6.7 in width and 5.4 in height before ordering. Natural convection cooling, no fan to fail. Supply is 24 V DC nominal (19.2...28.8 V range), external source required. Rated for operation up to 2000 m altitude, 10-90% RH non-condensing, and vibration per EN/IEC 61131-2 (3.5 mm at 5-9 Hz, 1 gn at 9-150 Hz). Shock resistance is 147 m/s². That's a standard industrial panel environment — no special derating needed for most factory-floor installs.
Memory, backup, and lifecycle
Internal RAM is 128 kB backed by a lithium battery for 100 days typical (5 days minimum, 10 years shelf). Flash EPROM holds 64 MB for application and data storage. Backlight lifespan is 50,000 hours at 25 °C — roughly 5.7 years continuous run before you'd notice dimming.
