The HMIP6DBCTO is a modular box PC from the Schneider Electric Harmony P6 series, built around an Intel Atom x6425E quad-core processor with 8 GB of RAM. It ships with Node-RED preinstalled, plus EcoStruxure Machine SCADA Expert runtime and EcoStruxure Operator Terminal Expert runtime on the configured offer; AVEVA System Platform installer and Trellix are also included (some licenses purchased separately). That software stack means it lands on a panel as a ready-to-run SCADA node or edge gateway — no separate runtime license to chase for the core apps.
The box measures 9.8 in wide by 6.5 in tall (250 x 165 mm), fanless, with NEMA 4X/13 protection — so it lives on the machine frame or in a washdown zone without an extra enclosure. Operating range is 32 to 131 °F (0 to 55 °C) in wall, book, flat, or panel mounting orientations, at altitudes up to 2000 m. Pollution degree 2 (typical for a control cabinet) and shock rated at 147 m/s² per IEC 61131-2. One slot for an optional interface card if you need a fieldbus drop or additional I/O.
Power supply sizing
Inrush current hits 30 A at power-up — factor that into your 24 VDC supply selection so the PSU doesn't crowbar on the first boot. Steady-state draw isn't listed here, but the inrush figure is what trips up a panel builder who sizes on nameplate alone.
