Panel PC for the commissioning window
The Schneider Electric HMIPSA65GD18W11 is a 19-inch all-in-one Panel PC from the Harmony PSA6 range, built around an Intel Core i5 1345UE processor clocked at 1.4 GHz with 8 GB DDR5 RAM and a 128 GB M.2 SSD. It ships with Windows 11 IoT Enterprise 2024 LTSC 64-bit, so the software stack is current for a greenfield line or a late-phase retrofit where the runtime environment must match the latest SCADA version. Rated for 24 V DC supply at 60 W typical draw, with an inrush of 30 A at power-up — factor that into the panel's DC distribution sizing. The front face carries IP66 protection, meaning it handles washdown on the cabinet door; the rear is IP20, so the enclosure interior stays dry. Mounts via four M4 screws into a panel cut-out of 449.5 x 279.5 mm (+1/-0 mm), or via VESA brackets. Overall dimensions are 18.2 in wide by 11.5 in tall by 2.3 in deep (461.9 x 291.9 x 58.8 mm). The 19-inch TFT LCD runs 1920 x 1080 full HD at a 16:9 aspect ratio, with projected capacitive (PCT) touch — responsive to gloved fingers on a wet panel face.
Connectivity and integration
The I/O panel on the bottom edge carries three Gigabit Ethernet ports (10/100/1000 BASE-T), two USB 3.1 Type-A, two USB 2.0 Type-A, a DisplayPort (DP++), and dual serial links: one RS-232 on a 9-pin SUB-D, and one RS-422/485 on a second 9-pin SUB-D. Baud rates span 2400 to 115200 bps on both serial channels; they are non-isolated, so keep the cable runs inside the cabinet and avoid ground loops through the serial shield. A single M.2 slot is available for expansion — the 128 GB SSD occupies one, leaving the slot free for an additional NVMe or wireless card if the application needs local data logging beyond the factory drive. Cooling is natural convection (AN), so no fan to fail; the operating temperature range is 32 to 122 °F (0 to 50 °C) with 0.6 m/s airflow across the enclosure.
