12-inch Panel PC for machine-level HMI and edge processing
The HMIPSA6AED18W11 is a 12-inch widescreen (1280 x 800 WXGA) Panel PC from the Schneider Electric Harmony PSA6 line, built around an Intel Atom X7425E quad-core processor at 1.5 GHz. It ships with 8 GB DDR5 RAM and a 128 GB M.2 SSD, running Windows 11 IoT Enterprise 2024 LTSC 64-bit — a stable OS image for industrial control and data logging applications that need a full Windows stack without feature updates mid-production. Power comes from a 24 VDC supply at 50 W typical draw, with a 30 A inrush at startup. The front panel carries an IP66 rating for washdown environments; the rear is IP20, intended for enclosure mounting. The unit is fixed by four M4 screws through the panel or via VESA mount, with a cut-out of 295 x 217 mm.
Connectivity and expansion
Three Gigabit Ethernet ports (10/100/1000 BASE-T) provide network separation — one for the plant LAN, one for the machine PLC, and one for a camera or edge gateway. Two USB 3.1 and two USB 2.0 Type-A ports handle peripheral connections. Serial interfaces include one RS-232 (COM1) and one RS-422/485 (COM2) on SUB-D 9 connectors, both non-isolated. A DisplayPort++ output supports a secondary monitor. One internal M.2 slot is available for additional storage or wireless modules. The projected capacitive touchscreen supports multi-touch gestures and is rated for 30,000 hours backlight life at 25 °C. Display is 16 million colours at 16:9 aspect ratio.
Rated for 0 to 50 °C operating ambient with 0.6 m/s airflow, and storage from -20 to 60 °C. Vibration resistance per IEC 61131-2: 3.5 mm single amplitude at 5–9 Hz. Shock resistance: 147 m/s² in X, Y, Z directions, three times each. Listed to UL 61010, with active lifecycle status from Schneider Electric.
