15-inch panel PC for washdown environments
The HMIPTH7D2P01 is a 15-inch touchscreen HMI from the Schneider Electric Harmony iPC range, built around an Intel Atom N270 1.6 GHz processor with 4 GB DDR3 RAM and a 500 GB enterprise hard drive. The 1024 x 768 XGA TFT display delivers 16 million colours. It runs MS Windows XP Professional SP3 with a Vijeo Designer runtime demo preloaded. The front panel carries IP65 protection per EN/IEC 61131-2 and NEMA 4X, with a 304 stainless steel bezel finished with a Scotch-Brite surface. That means it withstands direct hose-down and caustic wash cycles — a fit for food-and-bev lines where EN 1672-2 and FDA 21 CFR 177.2006 compliance for flat seals is required. Cooling is fanless, so no dust ingress through ventilation slots. The unit accepts 18...30 VDC supply and draws 130 W typical; inrush is 7 A. Mounting is via the included fixing kit for either enclosure door or panel cut-out.
Integration and expansion
Dimensions are 15.8 in wide by 11.9 in tall by 6.02 in deep (402 x 301 x 153 mm). One PCI and one PCI Express 1x slot are available for fieldbus or vision-capture cards. The chipset is Intel 945GME with integrated GMA 950 graphics (224 MB shared). Local signalling includes a multi-colour LED for power status and a dedicated hard-disk access LED. The DVD-RW drive allows local OS restore or application loading without network dependency.
Rated for pollution degree 2 per EN/IEC 61131-2, operating altitude to 2000 m, and ambient humidity 10...85 % (non-condensing). Shock resistance is 15 gn for 11 ms (IEC 60068-2-27 Ea); vibration tolerance covers 3...100 Hz continuous and intermittent profiles per IEC 60068-2-6 Fc.
