Panel PC for machine-level HMI and data acquisition
The Schneider Electric HMIPUC6D0E01 is a 12-inch panel PC from the Harmony iPC range, built around an Intel Core i3 3rd generation processor (827E, 3 MB cache) with 2 GB DDR3 RAM expandable to 16 GB. It runs Windows Embedded Standard 2009 in multiple language variants and ships with Vijeo Designer runtime demo.NET Framework 3.5, Acrobat Reader, and Internet Explorer Viewer. The 12-inch active matrix colour TFT LCD with LED backlight delivers 1024 x 768 pixel XGA resolution at 375 cd/m² luminance, backed by 16 million colours. The analogue resistive touch panel is overlaid with a polyethylene sheet for scratch resistance, and the bezel is aluminium alloy — die-cast aluminium chassis handles the enclosure. Rated power consumption is 130 W. Cooling is fanless, so there are no moving parts to fail or collect dust — a solid choice for food-and-bev or pharmaceutical lines where washdown debris is a concern. The unit mounts to the enclosure door via the included fixing kit; cut-out dimensions are 301.5 (+1 / -0) x 227.5 (+1 / -0) mm with a panel thickness range of 1.6 to 9 mm.
Connectivity and expansion
Ethernet port supports 10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX, and 1000BASE-T for gigabit connectivity to control networks. The Intel BD82HM76 chipset and Intel HD Graphics 3000 video controller handle display output. Data storage is a >= 4 GB CFast card (SLC), and local signalling includes a multi-colour buzzer/LED for power, link status, RUN, and CF card access. Memory type is DDR3, expandable from the factory 2 GB to 16 GB. The unit ships with a software bundle that includes Vijeo Citect web client and Office viewers — ready to run out of the box for most HMI and SCADA front-end applications.
Backlight lifespan is 50,000 hours at 25 °C. The unit is fanless, which extends MTBF in particulate-heavy environments compared to fan-cooled panel PCs.
