12-inch panel PC for machine-level HMI
The Schneider Electric HMIPUF6A0701 is a 12-inch industrial panel PC from the Harmony iPC range, built around an Intel Core i3 3rd-generation processor (2 MB cache) and 2 GB of DDR3 RAM, expandable to 16 GB. It runs Windows 7 64-bit Ultimate, so the software stack is standard PC-based — Vijeo Designer run time demo is included, and any Windows-compatible SCADA or HMI package can be deployed. The 1024 x 768 XGA TFT display delivers 375 cd/m² luminance and 16 million colours, readable in typical factory-floor ambient light. Analogue resistive touch means it works with gloved hands, which is the norm on a production line.
Mounting and cut-out fit
Mounts into an enclosure door using the supplied fixing kit. The panel cut-out is 301.5 (+1/-0) x 227.5 (+1/-0) mm, with a panel thickness range of 1.6 to 9 mm. Overall dimensions are 313 mm wide x 239 mm high x 60 mm deep. The die-cast aluminium bezel and aluminium alloy frame are standard for industrial panel PCs — rigid enough for the shock and vibration profile (15 gn, 11 ms shock per IEC 60068-2-27; vibration tested at multiple frequency bands per IEC 60068-2-6). Fanless cooling means no filter changes and no moving parts to fail in a dusty cabinet.
Connectivity and expansion
The HMIPUF6A0701 carries a triple-speed Ethernet port (10/100/1000BASE-T) for plant-floor networking — PROFINET, Modbus TCP, or EtherNet/IP all run over the same physical jack. The Intel BD82HM76 chipset and Intel HD Graphics 3000 video controller handle the display and basic GPU tasks. Local signalling includes a multi-colour LED for power, a disk-access LED, a link-status LED, and a buzzer. The unit draws 0.6 to 2 A line current, with a 20 A inrush at power-up — account for that in the panel supply sizing.
