Panel fit and display specs
The HMIST6200FW is a 4-inch colour TFT LCD HMI from the Harmony ST6 range, with a 480 x 272 pixel resolution and 16 million colours. The front panel carries IP65 and NEMA 4/13 protection, so it withstands washdown and indoor enclosure environments; the rear panel is IP20. Cut-out dimension is 118.5 x 92.5 mm for a panel thickness of 1.6 to 5 mm, secured by two screws. Depth is 43 mm (1.7 in), width 134.5 mm (5.3 in), height 108.5 mm (4.3 in). The enclosure is polycarbonate with an aluminium front bezel.
Processor, memory, and runtime
An ARM Cortex-A8 processor runs the HMI, backed by 512 MB device memory, 128 MB user data memory, and 512 KB backup memory for retentive data. The real-time clock is built in and rated for 0 to 50 °C ambient. Power consumption is 6.9 W from an external supply; inrush current is 30 A. The touch panel is single-touch analogue resistive — no multi-touch gestures, but reliable for gloved-hand operation in industrial environments. Backlight is rated for 50,000 hours to half brightness.
Communications and protocols
An Ethernet port supports 10/100BASE-TX. Downloadable protocols include Modbus, Uni-TE, and third-party protocols, so it can talk to Schneider, Mitsubishi, Omron, Rockwell, and Siemens controllers out of the box. No fieldbus module slot on this size — all communication is through the Ethernet port.
CE marked under the Low Voltage Directive (2014/35/EU) and EMC Directive (2014/30/EU). Listed standards include IEC 61000-6-4 (emission), IEC 61000-6-2 (immunity), IEC 61131-2 (PLC), UL 61010-2-201, and CSA C22.2 No 61010-2-201. Vibration resistance is ±3.5 mm at 5–9 Hz and 9.8 m/s² at 9–150 Hz; shock resistance is 147 m/s² for 11 ms in all axes.
