10-inch HMI with multi-platform reach
The HMIST6500FW is a 10-inch colour TFT LCD HMI from the Schneider Electric Harmony ST6 range, driven by an ARM Cortex-A8 processor. It runs on an external supply and draws 12.6 W. The 1024 x 600 pixel WSVGA display shows 16 million colours with 16-level brightness control and a 50000-hour white backlight lifespan. Touch input is single-touch analogue resistive. The front panel is aluminium with PC enclosure, rated IP65 (front) and IP20 (rear) per IEC 61131-2, plus NEMA 4 and NEMA 13 for indoor use. Panel mounting uses four screws through a 255 x 185 mm cut-out; overall dimensions are 10.7 in (273 mm) wide, 8.0 in (203 mm) high, and 1.9 in (47 mm) deep.
Protocol support and multi-brand compatibility
This HMI supports Modbus, Uni-TE, and third-party protocols over its 10/100BASE Ethernet port. It is branded for direct compatibility with Schneider Electric Modicon, Mitsubishi Melsec, Omron Sysmac, Rockwell Automation Allen-Bradley, and Siemens Simatic controllers — meaning it can drop into a multi-vendor line without a separate protocol gateway.
Memory and application capacity
Onboard memory includes 1 GB device memory, 512 KB backup memory, and 128 MB user data memory — enough for up to 200 application pages. The HMI supports ASCII, European, Chinese (simplified), Japanese (ANK, Kanji), Katakana, Korean, and Taiwanese (traditional Chinese) character fonts.
Rated for operating altitudes up to 2000 m. Vibration resistance: ±3.5 mm at 5–9 Hz, 9.8 m/s² at 9–150 Hz per IEC 61131-2. Shock resistance: 147 m/s² for 11 ms in X, Y, Z directions. Immunity to microbreaks: 10 ms. Inrush current: 30 A.
