The Schneider Electric HMIYP6M2R42P2 is a serial line interface expansion module for the Harmony P6 HMI range. It adds two isolated RS422/RS485 ports via a single M.2 1 plug SUB-D 9 connector, supporting baud rates from 2400 to 115200 bps.
The two RS422/485 ports are isolated, which means the HMI's serial ground is separated from the field device ground — critical when connecting to drives or PLCs on a different reference potential in a panel. The baud rate range of 2400 to 115200 bps covers Modbus RTU at the common 9600 and 19200 settings, as well as higher-speed protocols for fast data logging or printer interfaces. Operating temperature is rated 32 to 131 °F (0 to 55 °C) with 10 to 90% non-condensing humidity, which suits the module for installation inside a ventilated electrical enclosure on the factory floor. Storage range extends to -4 to 140 °F (-20 to 60 °C).
