What the ILM1002P22A0000 is
The Schneider Electric ILM1002P22A0000 is a servo motor integrated drive from the PacDrive 3 range, device short name ILM, sized for a 100 mm motor flange. It pairs a SinCos Hiperface absolute multiturn encoder (128 periods of speed feedback resolution) directly with the drive electronics, which removes the external drive-to-motor cabling step that separates a stand-alone servo motor from a servo amplifier.
Power, torque, and speed envelope
Continuous ratings are 910 W nominal output power at 3000 rpm nominal speed, with 2.9 Nm of nominal torque and 4.4 Nm continuous stall torque, against a 2 A line-rated current. The 4.4 Nm continuous stall figure, not the 18.3 Nm peak stall torque, is the rating that governs sizing for a constant low-speed hold such as a tension reel or a clamp. Peak stall torque reaches 18.3 Nm and the inverter can deliver 13.1 A Irms, so acceleration transients — index moves, eccentric loads, punch cycles — have headroom above the continuous envelope without immediately tripping the drive. Electrical constants shape how the drive current-loop is tuned: torque constant 1.52 Nm/A, back-EMF constant 100 V/krpm, stator resistance 4.12 Ohm phase-to-phase at 20 °C dropping to 2.86 Ohm phase-to-neutral at 120 °C, and stator inductance 21.8 mH phase-to-phase at 20 °C. The thermal rise from 20 °C to 120 °C on the winding is what lifts the resistance and shifts the loop gain the commissioning engineer has to allow for.
Mechanical integration and load limits
The 100 mm international-standard flange takes four 9 mm mounting bolts on a 95 mm centring collar 3.5 mm deep, with a 19 mm untapped shaft 40 mm long and a 30 mm key width — a drop-in fit for gearboxes and couplings sized for the PacDrive 3 ILM family. Shaft end is untapped and there is no second shaft end and no holding brake, so any failsafe or backstop function has to be built into the driven machine rather than the motor. Maximum radial load is rated 990 N at 1000 rpm, 790 N at 2000 rpm, and 690 N at 3000 rpm, with axial load capped at 0.2 × Fr — these are the bearing-life limits that decide whether a belt drive, a pinion, or a direct-coupled coupling sits on the shaft.
Cooling, ingress, and where it can be mounted
Cooling is natural convection with no integrated fan, which keeps acoustic noise low but means the continuous stall torque rating assumes an ambient that lets the housing radiate heat — in a sealed cabinet the 4.4 Nm continuous figure has to be derated. Ingress protection is IP65 on the motor body, so the unit tolerates splash and dust typical of a packaging line or a washdown-adjacent cell, but it is not a fully sealed submergence rating — cable entries still have to land on the IP65 spec of the connector, not the housing thread.
