Frame, feedback, and what this motor is
The ILM1402P31A0000: The part is a Schneider Electric PacDrive 3 ILM servo motor with integrated drive electronics, identified by the short name ILM and a 140 mm flange (5.5 in). Feedback is Hiperface SinCos absolute single-turn with 128-period resolution, mated to a keyed shaft (24 mm diameter, 50 mm length) and supplied without a holding brake or a second shaft end — important for retrofit and dimension checks against existing PacDrive 3 cells.
Torque, speed, and the sizing envelope
Continuous ratings are 9.1 N.m nominal torque (80.5 lbf.in) at 2000 rpm and 12.5 N.m continuous stall torque (110.6 lbf.in), drawing 3.7 A nominal and 4.8 A continuous stall; peak stall reaches 55 N.m (486.8 lbf.in) at 24 A Irms for the acceleration/transient window of a motion profile. Mechanical output is 1910 W continuous, supported by a torque constant of 2.6 N.m/A and a back-EMF constant of 173 V/krpm — the latter sets the bus-voltage headroom the PacDrive 3 controller must hold at top speed.
Winding, thermal, and electrical constants
Stator resistance is 1.9 Ohm phase-to-phase at 20 °C (1.32 Ohm phase-to-neutral at 120 °C) and stator inductance is 22 mH at 20 °C Ph/Ph (11 mH at 120 °C Ph/N), which is the data the controller uses to tune the current loop and the thermal model on commissioning. Cooling is natural convection (no integrated fan), so the motor relies on the mounting flange and surrounding enclosure for heat rejection — derating starts when the flange cannot shed the I²R losses at high duty cycles.
Mechanical envelope and shaft-side loading
Overall length is 309 mm (12.2 in) with an international standard flange, 4 mounting holes at 11 mm diameter, a 130 mm centring collar recessed 3.5 mm — the flange pattern is what determines whether it drops into an existing PacDrive 3 machine footprint without a re-machined adapter plate. Shaft loading limits are 2430 N radial at 1000 rpm and 1930 N radial at 2000 rpm, with axial force capped at 0.2 × Fr — pulley and pinion choices must respect both numbers, especially in belt-driven or geared packaging-line retrofits.
Environment and what IP65 covers here
IP65 sealing means the motor body resists dust ingress and low-pressure water jets, so it can sit near washdown zones or on machine frames where coolant and cutting fluid are present — but it is not rated for high-pressure or high-temperature cleaning, and the feedback connector must be mated with its specified IP-rated cordset to keep the rating.
