The Schneider LA1KN136 is an auxiliary contact block from the TeSys K range, designed to snap onto the front of a contactor or starter to add signal-feedback or interlock contacts. It carries 1 normally-open and 3 normally-closed instantaneous contacts, wired through lugs-ring terminals. The block is rated for 690 V AC insulation (IEC 60947-5-1) and a conventional free-air thermal current of 10 A at 50 °C, with a making capacity of 110 A at 10 MΩ.
Front-mounting means it clips onto the contactor face, not the side — so it adds depth to the assembly rather than width. The 35 mm depth and 38 mm width keep the stack within a standard DIN-rail enclosure's gutter space. IP20 protection is fine for a closed panel; no washdown rating here.
The 1NO+3NC pole composition is unusual — most auxiliary blocks offer a balanced split (2NO+2NC or 1NO+1NC). This block gives you three NC contacts for safety interlock or status loops where the closed state is the expected running condition. The 10 A thermal current at 50 °C is the continuous carry rating through the contacts; the 110 A making capacity covers the inrush when closing onto a load like a contactor coil or small solenoid.
Environmental limits
Operates between -25 °C and 50 °C, stores from -50 °C to 80 °C. Altitude limit is 2000 m — above that, derate the insulation voltage. Protective treatment is TC conforming to IEC 60068, which covers basic corrosion resistance for normal indoor environments.
