The LA1LC070E is an undervoltage trip (undervoltage release) from the Schneider TeSys range, designed to drop a contactor or motor starter when the control voltage falls below a set threshold. It operates on a 48 V AC 50/60 Hz control circuit and includes a 0.2 s time delay to ride through brief sags and avoid nuisance tripping. The trip threshold is adjustable between 0.35 and 0.7 times the control circuit voltage (Uc), so on a 48 V line it trips between roughly 17 V and 34 V. The hold-in power draw is 4 VA AC, with an inrush of 8 VA AC at pickup.
The 48 V AC control voltage is specific — this is not a 24 V or 110 V coil. Verify that your control transformer or supply matches 48 V AC at 50 or 60 Hz. The undervoltage release function means the contactor drops out when voltage dips below the threshold, protecting motors from restarting after a brownout. The 0.2 s time delay is short — it will not ride through a typical 0.5 s utility recloser event, but it will ignore brief switching transients. The adjustable threshold lets you set the dropout point to match your system's voltage ride-through requirements. Supplied as a set of 10 units, this is a service-part pack aimed at MRO planners stocking spares for a bank of TeSys contactors on a panel.
