The LA1LC070EJ is a TeSys-series undervoltage trip (undervoltage release) from Schneider, designed to drop a contactor or starter when the control voltage falls below a set threshold. It trips when the voltage drops to between 35% and 70% of the rated control voltage (Uc), with a deliberate 0.2 s time delay that prevents nuisance trips from brief dips. The control circuit must stay within 0.8 to 1.1 Uc for normal operation; outside that band the trip either holds or releases. Inrush power is 8 VA AC, dropping to 4 VA AC hold-in once the magnetic circuit seals.
This trip clips onto the front of TeSys D or TeSys F contactors and starters — no additional wiring space needed beyond the standard DIN-rail footprint. It's a control accessory that converts a standard contactor into a undervoltage-protected device, common in panel builds for conveyor lines, pump stations, and compressor skids where automatic restart after a voltage sag is undesirable. Supplied as a set of 10, which matches typical panel-builder batch quantities for a small-to-mid-size control panel.
