The LADN316J is an auxiliary contact block from the TeSys Deca range, designed to snap onto the front of a TeSys Deca contactor. It provides 3 normally-open and 1 normally-closed instantaneous contacts for signalling and control interlocking in the same panel. Rated at 10 A conventional free-air thermal current (Ith) at 60 °C, with a rated insulation voltage (Ui) of 690 V per IEC 60947-5-1 and 600 V per UL/CSA. The AC-15 rated operational current is 6 A at 120 V and 1.04 A at 690 V; DC-13 rating is 0.55 A at 125 V and 0.1 A at 600 V. The block is IP20 protected, suited for installation inside a control cabinet where no washdown or dust ingress is expected.
For a project that needs this exact order code to match an existing BOM or panel build, sourcing is through the surplus and broker channel.
The 10 A Ith rating at 60 °C is the thermal current the block can carry continuously in free air — this is the figure that governs the contact block's ampacity in a panel, not the lower AC-15/DC-13 values which reflect switching duty. The making capacity of 140 A AC and 250 A DC per IEC 60947-5-1 tells you the block can close onto a fault or high inrush without welding — important when interlocking motor starters or driving contactor coils. Minimum switching capability is 5 mA at 17 V, so it can handle low-energy PLC-level signals without needing a separate gold-plated contact block.
Mounts on the front of a TeSys Deca contactor using lugs-ring terminals with an 8 mm outer diameter. Tightening torque is 1.7 N·m on the M3.5 screw, using a flat 6 mm, Philips No 2, or Pozidriv No 2 driver. The block dimensions are 44 mm wide, 48 mm high, and 42 mm deep — fits within the standard contactor footprint. Operating altitude is rated to 3000 m without derating, and the protective treatment is TH conforming to IEC 60068 for tropical environments.
