What this contactor is
The Square D TeSys LC1DRD11G6 is a full-voltage, non-reversing IEC magnetic contactor rated 50 A at 575 VAC, with a 120 VAC 60 Hz coil. It's a 3-pole open-style unit with a built-in 1NO-1NC auxiliary contact block and screw-clamp terminals — the kind of workhorse you'd find in a control panel switching a motor or resistive load.
The 50 A current rating is the IEC thermal (AC-1) current — it'll carry that continuously in a resistive circuit. The 120 VAC 60 Hz coil is standard for control transformers in that region — just make sure your control voltage matches before you land the wires. The 1NO-1NC auxiliary contact is already integrated, saving a slot on the DIN rail for a separate block. Screw-clamp terminals mean you need a #2 Phillips or flathead on site — no special tooling required, which matters when you're swapping this in a hurry on a line-down call.
This is an IEC contactor, so it's sized for European-style panel layouts even though it's a Square D part. It's at home in motor control centers, pump panels, conveyor starters, or any 480 V / 600 V load switching where you need UL, CSA, and CE acceptance across multiple jurisdictions. The open enclosure means it mounts inside a panel — not a standalone weatherproof box.
Approved under UL, CSA, and CE — covers North American and European regulatory gates. RoHS and REACH compliant per the technical description. Note the California Proposition 65 warning for antimony oxide and trioxide; this is a material-content notice, not a functional restriction, and applies to any part sold into California.
