The Schneider Electric TeSys F LC1F1000FD is a 3-pole direct on-line contactor rated for heavy motor control and resistive loads. It carries a rated operational current of 1250 A in AC-3 duty (motor switching) at <= 440 V AC, and a conventional free air thermal current of 1250 A at 40 °C. The coil is 110 V DC standard. Rated breaking capacity is 8 kA per IEC 60947-4-1, and the short-time withstand current is 10 kA for 10 seconds at 40 °C — enough to coordinate with upstream 1400 A gG fuses at <= 440 V. The contactor is designed for plate mounting, not DIN rail, so factor in panel layout accordingly.
Motor power and duty cycle
This contactor handles 315 kW at 220–230 V three-phase, 560 kW at 380–400 V, 630 kW at 415 V, and 670 kW at 440 V. That puts it squarely in the large-motor class — think big pumps, compressors, or conveyor drives on 400 V class systems. Maximum operating rate is 600 cycles per hour at 55 °C.
Lifecycle reality — end of life
This part carries an end-of-life (EOL) status. Schneider has discontinued the LC1F1000FD. Sourcing is through last-time-buy or surplus channels.
The LC1F1000FD is designed and certified to EN 60947-4-1 and IEC 60947-4-1 (the contactor standard), plus EN/IEC 60947-1 (general rules). Rated insulation voltage is 1000 V per IEC 60947-4-1, with an impulse withstand voltage of 8 kV. Overvoltage category III. The front face with shrouds provides IP20 protection per IEC 60529 and VDE 0106.
