TeSys F 4-pole contactor, 200 A AC-1 — lifecycle and fit
The Schneider Electric LC1F1154V7 is a TeSys F series 4-pole contactor with 4 NO power poles, rated 200 A in AC-1 utilisation category at ≤440 V and <40 °C. That AC-1 rating means it is specified for resistive loads — heating elements, lighting banks, or transformer primary switching — where the current waveform stays near-sinusoidal with no motor inrush or inductive kick. The control coil is 400 V AC at 40-400 Hz, drawing 770 VA inrush and 8.1 VA hold-in power at 20 °C.
The 200 A AC-1 rating governs continuous current-carrying capacity for resistive loads. The associated fuse recommendation is 125 A aM or 200 A gG at ≤440 V — a coordination pair that tells the panel builder what upstream protection keeps the contactor within its breaking capacity of 920 A per IEC 60947-4-1. Average impedance per pole is 0.37 mOhm at 200 A, 50 Hz, which translates to roughly 15 W dissipation per pole in AC-1 duty and 5.9-7.2 W total heat to manage inside the enclosure. Mounting and integration into a panel
Mounting is plate-based — no DIN-rail clip on this frame size. The footprint is 200.5 mm wide by 162 mm high by 171 mm deep. Power circuit connections accept bar or busbar up to 20 x 3 mm, lugs or connectors for 95 mm² cable, or bolted connection. Control circuit uses screw-clamp terminals accepting 1-4 mm² flexible or solid, with or without ferrules. Tightening torque is 10 N·m on the power circuit and 1.2 N·m on the control circuit. IP2X front-face protection with shrouds per IEC 60529 and VDE 0106 means finger-safe when shrouded — standard for a panel-mounted contactor where the front is accessible during commissioning or troubleshooting. Operating altitude is 3000 m without derating, and the ambient temperature range is -40 to 60 °C operating, -60 to 80 °C storage.
The LC1F1154V7 is certified to EN 60947-1, IEC 60947-1, EN 60947-4-1, IEC 60947-4-1, and JIS C8201-4-1. Rated insulation voltage is 1000 V per IEC 60947-4-1 and 1500 V per VDE 0110 group C. Impulse withstand voltage is 8 kV, overvoltage category III. Protective treatment is TH for tropical environments.
