The Schneider Electric TeSys F LC1F5002P7 is a 2-pole contactor rated for 700 A in AC-1 duty (resistive loads) at ≤440 V, with a 230 V AC control coil. It switches and disconnects resistive heating elements, furnace banks, or similar loads where inrush is minimal and the current waveform stays sinusoidal. The 2 NO power pole configuration means it makes and breaks both line conductors — no auxiliary contacts built into the main poles.
Plate-mounted, not DIN-rail — the 233 mm width and 238 mm height require a drilled backplate or sub-panel, with bolted power connections accepting up to 240 mm² cable or 40 x 5 mm busbar. The IP20 front face (with shrouds) is touch-safe once installed inside an enclosure; no washdown rating here. Tightening torque on the power circuit is 35 N.m — a torque wrench is expected, not optional.
Key electrical characteristics
Rated insulation voltage is 1000 V per IEC 60947-4-1, with an impulse withstand of 8 kV (overvoltage category III). The contactor dissipates 18 W steady-state (88 W per pole in AC-1).
Certified to EN 60947-4-1, IEC 60947-4-1, EN 60947-1, IEC 60947-1, and JIS C8201-4-1. The rated breaking capacity is 4000 A per IEC 60947-4-1. Protective treatment is TH (tropicalized).
