The Schneider Electric LC1F5004P7 is a TeSys F 4-pole contactor rated for 700 A in AC-1 utilisation category (resistive loads) at ≤ 440 V AC, with a 230 V AC 40–400 Hz control coil. The four normally open power poles and the AC-1 rating mean it is built for switching resistive heater banks, lighting stages, or transformer primaries — loads where inrush is low and the current stays sinusoidal. It is not a motor-contacting AC-3 device; the AC-1 curve governs the thermal capacity.
This order code is flagged end-of-life (EOL hot). If you are freezing a new design, the TeSys F family still offers active 4-pole contactors in this frame size; cross-check the coil voltage and mounting pattern against the current catalogue.
Plate-mounted, not DIN-rail. The 288 mm width and 238 mm height need a backplate or sub-panel with clearance for the power-circuit busbar (40 x 5 mm bar or 240 mm² lugs). Control-circuit wiring uses screw-clamp terminals accepting 1–4 mm² flexible or solid. Torque the power connections to 35 N·m, control connections to 1.2 N·m. Front-face IP20 with shrouds per IEC 60529 — suitable for enclosed panels where incidental finger contact is the only exposure.
Designed and certified to IEC 60947-4-1 and IEC 60947-1, plus the Japanese JIS C8201-4-1 equivalent. Rated insulation voltage 1000 V per IEC 60947-4-1 (1500 V per VDE 0110 group C), impulse withstand 8 kV, overvoltage category III. The TH protective treatment indicates tropicalisation — suitable for humid or mildly corrosive environments within the -5 to 55 °C operating range.
