The Schneider Electric LC1F6304V7 is a TeSys F 4-pole contactor rated for 1000 A in AC-1 duty (resistive load) at ≤440 V, with a 400 V AC 40–400 Hz coil. The four normally-open power poles handle switching for large resistive banks — think industrial ovens, furnace elements, or large lighting loads — where the current stays sinusoidal and inrush is modest. Plate-mounted, not DIN-rail; at 389 mm wide and 304 mm tall, it needs a backplate or sub-panel, not a standard enclosure rail.
The 1000 A AC-1 rating is the headline number, but note it applies at ≤40 °C ambient and ≤440 V. That 1000 A is the conventional free-air thermal current (Ith) at 50 Hz, with an average pole impedance of 0.12 mOhm — so each pole dissipates about 120 W at full load, and the whole contactor sheds 20 W total heat into the panel. That heat has to go somewhere; plan for ventilation or forced air if the enclosure is tight. The 4 NO pole configuration means all four poles switch together; there is no built-in auxiliary contact block. If you need N/C feedback or a status signal to a PLC, you'll add a separate auxiliary contact block (TeSys F series) on the side. The control circuit is screw-clamp terminals accepting 1–4 mm² flexible or solid wire, torqued to 1.2 N·m; the power circuit uses bolted busbar connections (60 x 5 mm bar) at 58 N·m — that's a substantial torque, so a calibrated torque wrench is expected. That's about one operation every 3 seconds — fine for cyclic resistive loads but not for high-speed motor reversing. The contactor is built to IEC 60947-4-1 and EN 60947-4-1, with a rated impulse withstand voltage of 8 kV and overvoltage category III, so it's suitable for fixed-installation industrial distribution panels. Altitude rating is 3000 m without derating — useful for high-altitude plants or mining sites. The front face carries IP20 protection with shrouds (per IEC 60529 and VDE 0106), meaning finger-safe from the front but not sealed against dust or moisture ingress elsewhere.
The contactor carries IEC 60947-4-1, EN 60947-4-1, and JIS C8201-4-1 standards compliance. Rated insulation voltage is 1000 V per IEC 60947-4-1 and 1500 V per VDE 0110 group C. The protective treatment is TH (tropicalized humidity resistance). For RoHS, REACH, and UL documentation, the manufacturer's declaration package is available on request — we can provide the compliance certificate or declaration of conformity that matches the nameplate to your PO traceability requirements.
