The Schneider Electric LC1K0901B5 is a TeSys K series 3-pole contactor rated for motor control at 9 A in AC-3 and AC-3e duty up to 440 V, with a 24 V 50 Hz coil and one normally-closed auxiliary contact. It carries global approvals including EN/IEC 60947-4-1, UL 60947-4-1, CSA C22.2 No 60947-4-1, and JIS C8201-4-1, so it fits panels destined for North America, Europe, or Asia without requalification.
AC-3e extends that to energy-efficient motors with higher inrush. Electrical durability at 9 A AC-3 is 1.3 million cycles, which covers most conveyor and pump duty cycles for years. For resistive loads (AC-1) it handles 20 A, and for plugging/inching (AC-4) it is rated 54 A but with only 20,000 cycles — so use AC-4 sparingly, not for continuous jogging. The coil draws 30 VA inrush and 4.5 VA hold-in at 20 °C, dissipating 1.3 W. That heat is low enough to pack multiple contactors on a DIN rail without forced cooling. The control voltage limits are 0.8...1.15 Uc operational, with dropout at ≥0.20 Uc below 50 °C — so it stays pulled in through brownouts down to about 19 V. The single NC auxiliary contact is instantaneous, rated for signalling down to 5 mA and 17 V minimum switching — enough for PLC digital inputs but not for dry-contact logic at lower levels.
Mounts on plate or rail; screw-clamp terminals accept 1.5...4 mm² solid or 0.34...2.5 mm² flexible with ferrule, torqued to 0.8...1.3 N·m. IP20 finger-safe per VDE 0106, so it can sit in an open panel behind a locked door.
