The Schneider Electric LC1K0910B5 is a TeSys K series contactor with 3 power poles (3 NO), rated 9 A in AC-3 and AC-3e utilization categories at up to 440 V. The coil is 24 V at 50 Hz, drawing 30 VA inrush and 4.5 VA hold-in power at 20 °C. A single instantaneous 1 NO auxiliary contact is built in.
The 9 A AC-3 rating is the motor-switching current — it handles a 3-phase induction motor load up to about 4 kW at 400 V. The AC-3e rating adds a bit of margin for energy-efficient motors with higher inrush. Electrical durability is 1.3 million cycles at that 9 A AC-3 load, which is solid for a compact frame. The 20 A AC-1 rating (resistive load) gives headroom for heater or lighting circuits, but the mechanical life of 10 million cycles is what governs in low-load switching. Heat dissipation is 1.3 W — negligible in a ventilated enclosure, but worth noting if you're packing several contactors in a sealed panel. The IP20 finger-safe terminals (per VDE 0106) are standard for control cabinet use; no washdown rating here.
Screw clamp terminals accept 1.5–4 mm² solid or 0.34–2.5 mm² flexible with ferrule. Tightening torque is 0.8–1.3 N·m. Coil de-energisation and NO opening take 10–20 ms; coil energisation and NO closing are the same range. Minimum switching capability is 5 mA at 17 V for signalling circuits — fine for PLC inputs but not for dry-contact logic below those thresholds.
