The LC1K1201D7 is a 3-pole contactor from the TeSys K range, rated 12 A in AC-3 and AC-3e utilisation categories at ≤440 V — that's the motor-switching current, so it handles a typical 5.5 kW induction motor on a 400 V line. The 42 V AC coil pulls 30 VA inrush, holds at 4.5 VA, and dissipates 1.3 W once sealed. That low hold-in power keeps the panel thermal budget tight, and the 1.3 W is easy to vent in a crowded enclosure.
The screw-clamp terminals accept one or two conductors: 1.5…4 mm² solid, or 0.75…4 mm² flexible without ferrules, or 0.34…2.5 mm² with ferruled ends.
