The Schneider Electric LC1K1610D7 is a TeSys K 3-pole contactor rated for AC-3 and AC-3e duty at 16 A up to 440 V, with a 42 V AC coil and one normally open auxiliary contact. It's built for switching motor loads — think conveyors, pumps, fans — inside a control panel, and it carries approvals across EN/IEC 60947-4-1, UL 60947-4-1, CSA C22.2 No 60947-4-1, and JIS C8201-4-1, so it's accepted in most industrial jurisdictions without extra paperwork.
The AC-3 rating at 16 A is the number that matters for motor switching — it tells you the contactor handles inrush during start and breaks full-load current under normal running. The 42 V AC coil is common in older or low-voltage control circuits; the pickup range is 0.8 to 1.15 Uc (so about 33.6 to 48.3 V), and it drops out at 0.2 Uc (8.4 V) below 50 °C. Heat dissipation is 1.3 W steady-state, which is modest enough that you don't need to derate adjacent components in a typical DIN-rail layout.
Screw-clamp terminals accept 1.5 to 4 mm² solid or 0.34 to 2.5 mm² flexible with ferrule; torque to 0.8–1.3 N·m. The single NO auxiliary contact is instantaneous, so it's fine for a status feedback or interlock, but if you need more than one aux you'll add a side-mount block.
