The Schneider Electric LC2K16105C72 is a TeSys K reversing contactor — a 3-pole device rated AC-3 at 16 A up to 440 V, with a 36 V AC coil and one normally-open auxiliary contact. It ships preassembled with the reversing power busbar, which saves panel builders the wiring step of linking two contactors for forward/reverse motor control. Rated operational voltage on the power circuit is 690 V AC at 50/60 Hz, so it handles 400 V and 480 V line supplies without derating. The AC-3 category means it switches squirrel-cage motors during starting and running; AC-4 covers plugging and inching duty, which is the harder thermal cycle.
IP20 finger-safe protection means it can sit in a control cabinet without additional shrouding on the front face. Altitude derating kicks in above 2000 m — no reduction needed for most industrial sites.
No broker channel or surplus hunt needed.
Flame retardance meets V1 per UL 94 and also satisfies NF F 16-101 and NF F 16-102 Requirement 2 — the French rail standard for fire behavior. Protective treatment conforms to IEC 60068 and DIN 50016 for corrosion resistance in humid or mildly aggressive atmospheres. Mechanical robustness is specified: the contactor withstands 10 Gn shocks on Y and Z axes (15 Gn on X) for 11 ms when closed, and 6–10 Gn when open. Vibration resistance is 4 Gn closed, 2 Gn open across 5–300 Hz per IEC 60068-2-6.
