It switches three-phase induction motors up to 16 A in AC-3 duty (≤440 V), which covers most small conveyors, pumps, and fan drives that need forward/reverse control. The 230 V AC coil is standard for European panel voltages; the single NO auxiliary contact gives you one feedback or interlock signal without adding a separate block.
AC-3e extends that to energy-efficient motors with slightly different switching characteristics; The 3 NO power poles handle all three phases; the reversing busbar is already in place, so you only need to connect the coil and motor leads. At 57 mm deep, 90 mm wide, and 58 mm tall, this fits standard 35 mm DIN-rail enclosures with room for adjacent motor starters.
Vibration resistance to 4 Gn closed and 2 Gn open (5–300 Hz) keeps the contacts from chattering on a running conveyor line. Shock ratings of 10–15 Gn closed on Y and Z axes suit it for machine-tool cabinets near presses or punch stations.
