What this part is and what it does
The Schneider Electric LC3D150V7 is a TeSys D star-delta starter, pre-wired with three power poles configured as 3 x 3P (3 NO). It's rated for 150 A in AC-3 utilisation category, which means it's built for switching three-phase induction motors under full load — the AC-3 rating covers starting, plugging, and inching duty where the contactor makes and breaks the motor's locked-rotor current. The coil is 400 V AC, so it pulls in directly from a standard 400 V three-phase control supply without a separate transformer.
Where it fits in a panel
This is a pre-wired assembly, so it lands in the enclosure as a single unit — no on-site wiring between the main and delta contactors. The TeSys D range snaps onto DIN rail or mounts with screws, and the 3 x 3P pole arrangement gives you three NO contacts per phase for the star, delta, and line contactors. Pollution degree 3 means it's rated for industrial environments where conductive pollution or dry non-conductive pollution that becomes conductive due to condensation can occur.
Mechanical robustness for conveyor and material handling lines
Vibration resistance is 2 Gn (5-300 Hz) with the contactor open and 4 Gn (5-300 Hz) closed. Shock resistance is 6 Gn for 11 ms open, 15 Gn for 11 ms closed. That's enough to keep the starter from dropping out on a conveyor line with moderate vibration from motor-roller drives or divert mechanisms.
