The LE3D18U7 is a TeSys LE enclosed star-delta starter from Schneider Electric, designed for standard motor starting applications. It switches motor loads in AC-3 duty at 18 A rated operational current, which corresponds to 11 kW at 220 V AC, 22 kW at 415 V or 440 V AC, and 18.5 kW at 380/400 V AC — all at 50/60 Hz. The 240 V AC control circuit coil is built in. The polycarbonate enclosure carries an IP65 rating, meaning it's dust-tight and protected against water jets — suitable for washdown environments or outdoor installation where the starter needs to be co-located with the motor. IK07 impact protection handles accidental tool drops during maintenance.
Panel fit and cable entry
Cable entries are provisioned for both top and bottom: two each of ISO20, ISO25, ISO32, and ISO40 knockouts at each end, giving flexibility for incoming supply and outgoing motor cable routing without additional gland plates. Power and control circuit connections are screw clamp terminals — standard for panel wiring with ring or fork lugs.
What you need to add separately
This is the starter assembly only. A thermal overload relay is ordered separately — the starter is designed to accept one. The star-delta contactors and mechanical interlock are included in the enclosure.
Compliance is to IEC 60947-4-1, the standard for contactors and motor-starters. The enclosure is polycarbonate, rated IP65/IK07.
