It's designed to start three-phase induction motors in star-delta configuration — the standard method for reducing inrush current on larger motors. The 415 V AC coil matches common European industrial supply voltages. The IP65 polycarbonate enclosure means it's suited for washdown environments or outdoor installation where dust and water jets are present. It complies with IEC 60947-4-1, the standard for contactors and motor-starters.
Physical integration
The enclosure measures 348 mm high by 186 mm wide by 175.5 mm deep. Cable entries are provided: two each of ISO20, ISO25, ISO32, and ISO40 knockouts at both top and bottom — gives flexibility for a range of cable gland sizes. Power and control circuit connections use screw clamp terminals. The starter is supplied as a complete assembly; the thermal overload relay is ordered separately and added during commissioning.
