The LE4D09FE7 is an enclosed direct-on-line (DOL) starter from the Schneider Electric TeSys LE range, built for standard motor-starting duty in a single polycarbonate enclosure. It integrates a contactor, push-button controls (green start, red stop/reset), and provisions for a separately ordered thermal overload relay and fuse disconnector, all pre-wired into an IP65-rated enclosure. Rated at 9 A conventional free-air thermal current (Ith) and listed under utilisation category AC-3 for squirrel-cage motor switching, it handles motor loads up to 4 kW at 380–440 V AC and 2.2 kW at 220/230 V AC.
The enclosure measures 330 mm high, 186 mm wide, and 175.5 mm deep, with multiple cable-entry knockouts (ISO20, ISO25, ISO32, ISO40) on both top and bottom faces for flexible gland-plate layout. Rated IP65 and IK07, it withstands hose-directed water and low-energy impacts, making it suitable for standalone mounting on a machine frame or wall in washdown areas — not for DIN-rail panel integration. Operating ambient temperature range is -5 to 40 °C, with an associated fuse recommendation of 12 A aM (10 x 38 mm) for short-circuit protection.
