The LE4D09V7A04 is a TeSys LE enclosed direct-on-line starter from Schneider Electric. It combines a contactor and thermal overload relay (ordered separately) in a single IP65 polycarbonate enclosure, rated for AC-3 motor switching duty.
The 9 A Ith rating governs the continuous current the starter can carry in free air. For motor loads, the AC-3 utilisation category means it is designed for starting squirrel-cage motors and switching them off while running — the 4 kW at 380/400 V AC is the real-world sizing target. The 400 V AC coil matches standard European control-voltage panels; the absence of pushbuttons (control type: Without) means it is a bare starter intended for remote or PLC-based control, not local start-stop. The IP65 enclosure (IK07 impact resistance) allows installation in washdown areas or outdoors, provided ambient temperature stays within -5 to 40 °C. The polycarbonate housing gives flexibility for gland selection during panel integration.
Designed and tested to IEC 60947-4-1, the standard for contactors and motor-starters. The associated fuse rating is 12 A (10 x 38 mm aM) for short-circuit protection.
