The Schneider Electric LE4D12E7 is an enclosed direct-on-line (DOL) starter from the TeSys LE range, built for standard motor-starting applications up to 7.5 kW depending on supply voltage. It integrates a contactor, a fuse disconnector, and provisions for a separately ordered thermal overload relay into a single IP65 polycarbonate enclosure ready for washdown or outdoor installation.
For AC-3 motor duty, this translates to starting and stopping a motor under load at that current level — the part is sized for a 3 kW motor on a 230 V supply, or up to 7.5 kW on a 500 V supply. The associated fuse recommendation is 16 A aM (10 x 38 mm), which coordinates with the starter to clear a fault without damaging the contactor. Cable entries are provided on both top and bottom faces, with knockouts for ISO20, ISO25, ISO32, and ISO40 glands — four per face, giving flexibility for incoming supply and outgoing motor cables without drilling the enclosure.
