Product identity and construction
It integrates a contactor, fuse disconnector, and push-button controls (green start, red stop/reset) — the thermal overload relay is ordered separately. The enclosure measures 330 mm high by 186 mm wide by 175.5 mm deep, with multiple ISO cable-entry knockouts on top and bottom (20, 25, 32, and 40 mm).
Motor ratings and switching capability
Rated for AC-3 utilisation category per IEC 60947-4-1, meaning it is certified for switching squirrel-cage induction motors — starting and stopping during running, not for inching or plugging. The conventional free air thermal current is 18 A. Motor power depends on supply voltage: 4 kW at 220/230 V AC, 7.5 kW at 380/400 V AC, 9 kW at 415 V or 440 V AC, and 10 kW at 500 V AC (all 50/60 Hz). The control circuit coil is 48 V AC 50/60 Hz. The associated upstream fuse rating is 20 A, 10 x 38 mm aM type.
The unit is classified for standard (non-harsh) environments.
The LE4D18E7 is classified as obsolete by Schneider Electric. The IP65 enclosure and AC-3 motor ratings remain the fit criteria for any substitute evaluation.
