The LE4D18P7 is an enclosed direct-on-line starter from the Schneider Electric TeSys LE range, rated for standard motor-starting duty (utilisation category AC-3). It combines a contactor and a fuse disconnector in a single IP65 polycarbonate enclosure, with a push-button start (green I) and stop/reset (red O) on the cover. The thermal overload relay is ordered separately, so the starter ships without one — you select the overload that matches the motor full-load current. For motor power, the unit is rated 10 kW at 500 V AC, 9 kW at 415 V or 440 V AC, 7.5 kW at 380/400 V AC, and 4 kW at 220/230 V AC — all at 50/60 Hz. The associated fuse recommendation is a 20 A aM type in a 10 x 38 mm cartridge.
Where it goes and what it withstands
Cable entry is generous: the enclosure has eight knockouts — two each of ISO20, ISO25, ISO32, and ISO40 on both the top and bottom faces. That gives flexibility for incoming supply and outgoing motor cables without needing an external gland plate.
Because the thermal overload relay is ordered separately, a buyer sourcing a used or surplus LE4D18P7 should verify whether the overload is included or needs to be matched. The starter itself is built to IEC 60947-4-1, so any TeSys LR overload of the correct current range will fit mechanically and electrically.
