It's a self-contained unit in a polycarbonate enclosure rated IP65, with push-button start and stop/reset controls on the front.
The motor power table tells you the real-world load it can handle: 15 kW at 380/400/415/440 V AC, 7.5 kW at 220/230 V, and 18.5 kW at 500 V or 660/690 V. That's a wide voltage range, so it fits standard European and some North American supply voltages. The utilisation category is AC-3, which covers squirrel-cage motors — starting, stopping, and running under load. The conventional free-air thermal current is 26.5 A, which is the continuous current the main contacts can carry in open air without overheating. The starter is designed to work with a separately ordered thermal overload relay and a fuse disconnector. The associated fuse rating is 32 A, 14 x 51 mm aM — that's a motor-protection fuse, not a general-purpose gG. If you're replacing an existing unit, make sure the overload relay and fuses are still in your BOM.
The enclosure dimensions are 330 mm high, 186 mm wide, and 175.5 mm deep. It has multiple cable entry knockouts: two each of ISO20, ISO25, ISO32, and ISO40 on both top and bottom. That gives flexibility for different conduit or gland sizes. The polycarbonate material is lightweight but tough — no special mounting bracket needed, just four bolts through the backplate.
The starter complies with IEC 60947-4-1, the standard for contactors and motor-starters. AC-3 ratings and thermal current are defined under this standard.
