Function & operation
As an enclosed DOL starter the LE4K065V7 provides a single-speed, across-the-line start for a 3 kW motor at 400 V AC. The 6 A switching current (AC-3) defines the maximum inductive motor load it can handle under normal starting and stopping conditions. The 400 V AC coil is powered directly from the motor supply, eliminating the need for a separate control transformer in many installations. The thermal overload relay is ordered separately, allowing the user to match the trip curve to the specific motor full-load current.
Applications
TeSys LE enclosed starters are used in industrial and commercial applications where a compact, self-contained motor start solution is required — conveyors, pumps, fans, compressors, and small machine tools. The IP65 enclosure allows installation in washdown or dusty environments without a separate cabinet. The IK09 impact rating (6 J) provides mechanical robustness against accidental tool drops or debris strikes.
