The LG1D182M721 is an enclosed direct-on-line starter from the TeSys LG range, combining a contactor, switch disconnector, and circuit-breaker in one IP55 polycarbonate enclosure. It is rated for AC-3 motor duty, with thermal protection adjustable from 17 to 23 A and a 220 V AC 50/60 Hz control coil. Motor power ratings: 4 kW at 220/230 V AC, 9 kW at 400/415 V AC, and 9 kW at 440 V AC — all at 50/60 Hz. The enclosure carries an IK07 impact rating and meets IEC 60204-1 and IEC 60947-4-1 standards for safety and motor-starter performance.
The 17…23 A thermal adjustment range sets the overload relay trip band. For a motor with a nameplate full-load current of, say, 19 A, this starter dials in directly. The AC-3 rating (IEC 60947-4-1) confirms it is designed for starting squirrel-cage motors — switching under load, not just isolating. IP55 means the enclosure is dust-protected and hose-down resistant, suitable for washdown areas or outdoor installation under a canopy. The IK07 impact rating (2 Joules) handles light mechanical knocks from tools or debris. Cable entry: four knockouts on top and bottom — two Pg 13 and two Pg 16 per face — give flexibility for incoming supply and motor leads without drilling the polycarbonate.
Deployment context
This is a self-contained safety starter for a motor branch circuit. The integrated switch disconnector provides visible-break isolation for lockout/tagout; the circuit-breaker handles short-circuit protection; the contactor and overload relay manage normal starting and running. The push-button controls (white start, black stop, red rotary emergency stop) are built into the enclosure lid, so no separate control station is needed at the machine.
